I can monetize all major social media sites to profitable levels.

I became interested last year when I read an article about how most of the big social media sites actually lose money every year as their operating costs consistently exceed the pittance they get from ad revenue and premium upsells.
It is a fairly commonly held belief that eyeballs will translate to revenue, so why is it that Facebook and Myspace and Bebo and Orkut and all the other heavy hitters who have lots of eyeballs are not generating enough revenue per user to turn a profit?

I began by analyzing what makes a social media site work, in terms of user engagement. I found there was a set of core precepts that were common – and measurable, throughout the Newmediasphere. There is a set of constants. In my minds eye, I created a “model” such as I might have constructed from a Tinker Toy set when I was a child, fashioned somewhat after common depictions of molecules. I let it spin, in my mind, separating and rearranging little pieces. In time it became clear to me that there really is a sensible alternative to the current efforts to monetize social media properties on the internet.

As I sit here in my beautifully landscaped (rented) South Florida home, juggling bills with income from slow pay clients a bit more often than I wish, and fighting a slowly increasing debilitating illness, I marvel that I have a multi billion dollar revenue generation/distribution idea. I look forward to finding a few intrepid individuals to help me bring this from concept to reality.
